He’s been told he has a ‘face for radio’ his entire life, so it was quite fitting when Andrew Schultz was named the new co-host of “The Morning News” on 770 CHQR radio in Calgary.

Most recently, Andrew worked on Breakfast Television as Meteorologist and host.

Andrew began his career as a production assistant on an internationally syndicated entertainment program The Movie Show, while enrolled in the Broadcasting program at Mount Royal College. After graduating, Andrew landed a job as a writer, producer, reporter and segment host on the program. The thrill of “live” TV drew Andrew to Citytv where he landed a job as a weather anchor for Breakfast Television.

When he isn’t busy playing at work, Andrew enjoys spending time at home with his four children – 3 girls and 1 boy! He also enjoys the challenge of Stand-up Comedy – having acted as Host/Emcee for comedians such as Tracy Morgan, Tom Arnold and Pauly Shore.

A little known fact about Andrew is that he was the first reporter on the scene of the Pine Lake Tornado tragedy in July 2000 while working at RDTV. This coverage won Andrew a C.A.B. (Canadian Association of Broadcasters) Gold Award for “Breaking News Coverage.”
